Pressed support boxes

Air cooled exchangers have a bundle of finned tubes with rectangular box headers on both ends of the tube. Pressed support boxes are used to distribute fluids from the piping to the tubes and fully support finned tubes according to API 661.

Manufactured in aluminium, brass, copper and galvanised steel, we supply pressed support boxes as half boxes or in rectangular/hexagonal formats to suit the finned tube pitch.

Forged header plugs are available in carbon steel (ASTM A105) and stainless steel (A182), as well as nickel alloys and titanium.
